Nov 27th 2000, Kapt Camouflage T! pilots of Lentolaivue 34! Today is the second anniversary of our squadron. During the last year a lot has happened, both on the EAW- as well as on other fronts. We have set foot into new territories: took part in beta testing Aces High and watched it grow. We are now very active in that community as well. We are the largest Finnish squad in the game. We are constantly among the top best scorers in squad - as well as personal - ranking in Aces High. Our squadron is also actively involved in the development of Maddox Games' IL-2 Sturmovik. The Finnish scenario for the game is coming along nicely. Lentolaivue 34 has established its position as the best squadron in EAW. A good example is our own war missions, an institution in itself, where we have shown ourselves and the whole EAW community the meaning of "Sisu". What will the next year bring? Hopefully all will go well with IL-2 Sturmovik, giving us a better ground for our grown needs. I expect the Laivue to grow during the springtime, I advice you all to start preparing for that. We need to be in top shape when the action starts in a few months from now! On this date, Lentolaivue 34 HQ has decided to award two pilots for their achievements and dedication to Lentolaivue 34. Unfortunately, these pilots are not present now. Ylikersantti Hock is hereby promoted to the rank of Vääpeli. Ylikersantti Mika is hereby awarded Vapaudenmitali 2nd Class. On the behalf of the whole squadron, congratulations Mika and Hock! And now, let us raise three "HURRAA" shouts for the Laivue! |
