Protocol
- Military Manners
- All Officers, including those holding a rank higher than yours, will be addressed by Sir. Also using the common salute/greeting (S! or T! within LLv34) is expected in relevant situations. When only LLv34 pilots are present, atmosphere can be more relaxed.
- All respects and courtesies will be extended to all Axis and Enemy pilots.
- The Chain of Command is implemented to ensure that issues are handled in a prompt and professional manner. Your Chain of Command will begin with your Lentueen varapäällikkö who will then direct your issue through the proper channels. All issues will be handled at the lowest level possible, however, all issues will be reviewed by all members of the Chain of Command and any action deemed necessary will be passed back down to the lowest level.
- General
- The use of language to include swearing, degrading or derogatory comments, and the use of SPAMing Will Not Be Tolerated under any circumstance!
- Extend Chivalry to your opponent. The exception to this rule will include any situation where you or any assets belonging to Fatherland are in jeopardy.
- Read, remember, and adhere to the rules of LLv34. If you are unfamiliar, or do not completely understand a rule, ask your Lentueen päällikkö for an explanation of that rule. Do not ask another pilot, because that pilot may also have misinterpreted the rule.
- When a squadron member is flying a War Mission, do NOT attempt any action that will put him in jeopardy. Causing losses to a squadron member during War Missions will lead to proper Court Martial investigations and possible punishments.
Meetings
- HQ will meet whenever an issue is brought to Laivueen komentaja.
- IL-2 Meetings are held every Wednesday starting at 19:00 CET.
- AH Meetings are held every Thursday starting at 20:00 CET.
- Every Lentue is encouraged to practice and fly War Missions as a unit
Recruitment
- All recruits must go through two test flights and an interview.
- The first test flight can be administered by any member of the LLv34. This flight is to test all forms of combat and flying (i.e. turning fights, head-ons, zoom and boom, evasion, landing, marksmanship etc). You are also to judge the applicants attitude, ability to take instruction and constructive criticism.
- If the pilot deems the applicant to be up to LLv34 standards he will then inform the Recruiting Officer (RO) who will interview the applicant and administer the second test flight. The second flight is the same as the first in its objectives.
- If RO agrees that the applicant is up to LLv34 standards he will recommend the applicant and give his contact information (e-mail or ICQ) and other acquired data to Laivueen komentaja.
- Laivueen komentaja will accept or decline the applicant and will inform him of the decision. In the final stage before becoming a full member of LLv34 the accepted applicants will become trainees. They will hold the rank of Alikersantti and a callsign LLv_T_Pilotname. The training period consist of flying 5-10 war missions (TrWMs) for further evaluation. Reports are to be submitted as normal but these TrWMs are not fully recorded to pilot log or kill board. All rules are still to be followed. Trainees can confirm for real WMs at the same time they fly their mock-WMs. Training missions have to be flown within 1 month after becoming a trainee. After each the reports have been evaluated and the performance is found sufficient the trainee will be assigned to a Lentue and given the rank of Kersantti. At this point the new pilot will change his callsign to LLv34_Pilotname.
